Donna Holder is the Senior Director, Global MSL Excellence at Daiichi Sankyo Inc (DSI) where she is accountable for ensuring the strategic alignment of MSL activities across DSI regions, and for strengthening the MSL capability worldwide. Donna has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a wealth of experience in Medical Affairs. Most recently she was the Executive Director, Global Field Medical Center of Excellence (CoE) at Merck from January 2018 to May 2020 where she was responsible for the Field Medical capability worldwide along with the leadership of scientific and capability training function for Field Medical. Â
She started her career at Marion Merrell Dow (now Sanofi) in Clinical Development and then joined AstraMerck (now AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals) where she spent over ten years in senior leadership roles including leadership of MSL, Medical Information, and Contact Center teams. In her last role at AZ as Senior Director, MSL Excellence in Global Medical Affairs, Donna was accountable for the strategic direction of the MSL function.  She led development, delivery, and measurement of initiatives to strengthen MSL capabilities worldwide.  Donna left AZ at the end of 2014 and became a Medical Affairs consultant, partnering with pharmaceutical and biotech clients to deliver solutions including capability development, business process development, business strategy, operations management, and coaching. Donna earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Michigan.  Â
Sameer heads a business unit at Indegene focusing on services to Medical Affairs organizations in life sciences companies. Sameer drives the overall P&L through sales and marketing efforts, capability building, innovation and delivery. He is also setting up a new service line (value proposition, capability mix, resourcing, external partnership, key client wins) to increase market penetration and drive business growth. He is also the global client partner for several of the top accounts at Indegene. He is responsible for managing a team of professionals based in multiple geographies with a mandate to grow Indegene’s business across service lines.
Sameer has over twenty-two years of experience both in the pharmaceutical industry as well as on the services side. Prior to joining Indegene, Sameer has served a variety of leadership roles in companies like GlaxoSmithKline and Sudler & Hennessey. His expertise lies in building long-term strategic client relationships; developing programs to address specific business problems; and effectively executing against set objectives.
Sameer is an MBA in Marketing with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Technology.
Shaji Kalathil is currently the Executive Director, Head of IT for Global Medical Affairs and Hematology & Cell Therapy Medical Affairs at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS), having global responsibilities for all digital capabilities and services across Medical Affairs. Shaji is well recognized as a leader in driving digital transformation programs and has extensive experience in developing and executing technology vision and strategies at the domestic and global levels with specific focus on Medical Affairs, Commercial, Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs functions. Prior to joining BMS, Shaji worked at Novartis Pharmaceuticals for 13 years in various IT leadership roles. His last role with Novartis was as the Executive Director, Head of IT Strategy, Innovation & Enabling Technologies where he was responsible for leading digital innovation programs in Medical Affairs and Commercial. Shaji is a computer engineer by profession and prior to Novartis, he worked in the financial services sector leading teams to develop securities trading and clearance systems.
