Omnichannel communication holds the promise of reshaping interactions between the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare professionals (HCPs), revolutionizing engagement through personalized and seamless connections. Medical Affairs teams are in a unique position to engage with and provide HCPs with the information and education they seek, including in-depth clinical data, additional analyses and treatment updates. While Medical Affairs teams have the capacity to harness this transformative power, the pharmaceutical industry has been slow to fully embrace this revolution. Crafting effective omnichannel strategies remains a formidable challenge, laden with barriers.
Our webinar offers a platform for attendees to engage with a diverse group of Medical Affairs omnichannel experts, discover their distinctive perspectives, navigate common obstacles, and gain firsthand insights into pragmatic omnichannel integration solutions.
Key areas of focus will include:
· Unpacking Omnichannel Strategies: Understanding the added value for customers and organizations, and the need to diverge from conventional single or multichannel approaches
· Overcoming Barriers: Identifying and surmounting the obstacles hindering Medical Affairs teams' success with omnichannel, and exploring actionable solutions
· Forging the Path to Omnichannel Success: Strategic drivers and actions, and how to institute them effectively across organizational landscapes.
The Medical Affairs landscape is rapidly evolving, demanding field medical teams to engage with a wide range of stakeholders. MSLs are expected to handle over 350 interactions annually and manage numerous stakeholders, a number which continues to rise. However, simply increasing interaction numbers without addressing associated challenges like reaching out to the right stakeholders or gaining access to them is ineffective. It's crucial for organizations to acknowledge and tackle these obstacles effectively. By doing so, they can redefine engagement strategies, ensuring meaningful interactions tailored to stakeholders' needs. This approach will allow organizations to move beyond mere volume-based metrics, focusing instead on the genuine productivity and impact of their field medical teams. Over the course of time, this will also lead to better relationships being developed with key scientific stakeholders.
This webinar discusses the current focus on volume-based metrics as a measure and will also help the participants understand some key considerations around volume-based metrics while redefining the industry thinking on this important topic.

Early involvement of Medical Affairs can be valuable to R&D by providing medical insights from HCPs to influence the TPP, go/no go decision, and optimize the clinical development program. Some biopharma organizations are hiring pipeline MSLs reporting to a Medical Affairs lead within the R&D organization to support clinical trial enrollment efforts and bring the voice of the customer to asset decisions. Defining disease areas of interest is also crucial, involving understanding diseases for which an emerging technology may have an application and determining the existing unmet medical need. Additionally, clarifying the patient journey informs the TPP, clinical feasibility of planned trials, and selection of clinical trial endpoints.
During the webinar, we will discuss considerations for the appropriate structure, resources, and timing to get Medical Affairs involved early enough in the process to optimize clinical development plans informed by medical customer insights. We will also have a dialogue around how early involvement of Medical Affairs can influence which indications should be pursued for a label versus investigator-initiated research.
The online webinar titled "Medical Operations: Making the Strategy Work" will delve into the critical aspects of how medical operations are instrumental in realizing overall medical strategy. The webinar will highlight the role of medical operations as an innovation hub, showcasing its significance in driving advancements within Medical Affairs. Additionally, the session will emphasize the importance of collaborative partnerships across the entire company, illustrating how such collaborations enable the achievement of better patient outcomes. Attendees can expect valuable insights into the strategic functions of medical operations and how they contribute to the overall success of Medical Affairs.
As the dust starts to settle around the hype with Generative AI, we believe that the opportunity is right before us to get truly “human-like” understanding at scale. Gen AI allows a unique ability to convert unstructured data into structured information, glean insights and then create a variety of medical content in a myriad of formats.
The webinar will showcase results from use of Generative AI in medical information, content generation and insights. It will also focus on stance taken by industry bodies Journals, Societies, ISMPP [International Society of Publications Professionals] and Regulators in releasing guidance to their members.
It will conclude by taking a crystal ball to look at how the future is unfolding with an ecosystem of models and technologies.
By the end of this webinar, attendees should have a better understanding of use-cases of Generative AI in Medical Affairs and will see results to help inform thinking and build a future roadmap.
This webinar will focus on the role of Medical Affairs to lead patient engagement in clinical development.

Getting your research published is challenging enough, but how do you know if you're choosing a journal that will deliver the right audience, and once published, how can you find out if your article is performing as it should? Publishing research is important for many reasons - peer review, establishing a public record, proving efficacy and safety - but without an audience to read, engage and - hopefully - act on your research, it could be taken as an empty gesture. Not all publications are created equal - but they all have a potential audience. Prior to publication, how can we ensure best practice in journal selection and publication performance? Then post publication how can we use data to drive new insights to support this crucial activity in Medical Affairs; analysing and contextualising the information to accurately understand what they mean within the context of your therapeutic area?
This webinar aims to explore and provide a nuanced understanding of Innovative Medical Affairs roles within the pharmaceutical industry for critical evaluation by the Medical Affairs community, including new “Hybrid Medical Science Liaison (MSL)” roles ranging from business savvy to more commercially aware MSLs.
Experienced industry representatives will engage in a thoughtful examination of the origins of new structures and roles and their varying potential interpretations. Drawing from real-world examples, they will illustrate the practical implications within their respective companies. The central theme of this discussion revolves around striking a balance between scientific objectivity and commercial awareness, while also addressing the ethical and compliance considerations associated with the role.
The goal of this webinar is to provide a platform for meaningful discourse. By discussing the Hybrid MSL role, our objective is to encourage best practices and start developing a consensus on the associated opportunities and limitations of the role.
