Becoming a MAPS Industry Partnership Program (IPP) Member

When you join the MAPS Industry Partnership Program (IPP), your company gains more than just elite affiliation; you become an integral part of a transformative global movement that elevates the strategic role and excellence of Medical Affairs.

The Medical Affairs Professional Society (MAPS) stands as the leading organization dedicated to enhancing the Medical Affairs function within the life sciences sector. Our mission encompasses the development of comprehensive guidance to support industry standards and best practices, the provision of robust education tailored to professionals at all levels, and the fostering of meaningful peer collaboration across the medical ecosystem.

As an IPP Member, your organization will be at the forefront of this transformation, actively participating in the evolution of the profession while enjoying exclusive access, enhanced visibility, and significant influence.

Why Join the Industry Partnership Program?

By enrolling as an Industry Partner, your organization gains entry into an elite network of companies that are pioneering innovation and leadership in Medical Affairs. Whether your focus lies in talent development, strategic collaboration, or navigating the rapidly evolving regulatory and digital landscape, the MAPS IPP offers the essential tools, resources, and community connections needed to achieve your objectives.

Here’s what you receive as an IPP Member:

  1. Full Access to MAPS for Individuals: This benefit, valued at $295 per person, grants your entire team access to an array of member-exclusive resources, including the comprehensive MAPS Knowledge Center, engaging webinars on current topics, and on-demand educational content designed to meet the needs of professionals in the field.
  2. Free Access to the Foundations in Medical Affairs Certificate Program: This foundational training is designed for professionals within their first five years of experience in Medical Affairs. The self-paced video courses cover seven core domains essential for early-career success and are provided at no cost exclusively to IPP members.
  3. Strategic Leadership Council (SLC) Membership: This exclusive council is reserved for one Chief Medical Officer (CMO) or Global Medical Affairs Head representing each IPP company. The SLC conducts two strategic meetings annually to discuss pressing industry topics, share insights, and shape the future of the industry for the next generation.
  4. Complimentary Medical Affairs Textbook: As an IPP Member, you will receive one digital copy of the MAPS’ Medical Affairs Textbook, a comprehensive resource that outlines best practices in the field. Additionally, members can access discounted rates for bulk purchases of the textbook, which includes a foreword from your organization.
  5. Ambassador Alliance: Your designated Ambassador serves as the vital liaison between your organization and MAPS. This role ensures that your internal needs and concerns are effectively communicated, fosters collaboration with peers in the industry, and provides strategic feedback to MAPS’ future planning.
  6. Event Discounts: Enjoy the benefit of two complimentary registrations per year for your SLC member and Ambassador to attend either the Americas or EMEA Annual Meetings. Plus, all team members receive exclusive registration discounts for all MAPS meetings.

Solving Real Industry Challenges

MAPS is acutely aware of the unique challenges that Medical Affairs teams face, including the necessity to standardize competencies on a global scale, benchmark performance against industry peers, gain internal recognition within their organizations, and cultivate credible leadership at the executive level. The IPP offering is crafted to address these challenges directly by providing:

  • Workforce Development and Training: Members gain access to the latest frameworks and resources related to Medical Affairs competencies, self-paced video courses tailored to address skill gaps, and leadership development programs that help nurture future leaders within your organization.
  • Strategic Networking: Engage with peers through exclusive councils and committees, specialized forums and roundtables, and live events, creating opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and partnerships that can enhance your organization’s capabilities.
  • Industry Intelligence: Stay ahead of the curve with access to up-to-date White Papers, Standards & Guidance, and best practices that keep your team informed of the latest developments impacting Medical Affairs.
  • Thought Leadership: Amplify your organization’s voice and thought leadership through participation in major conferences, influential publications, and advisory boards that shape Medical Affairs practices.
