Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Chapter Meeting – Virtual Panel Discussion

The function and responsibility around the Medical Information department in Medical Affairs is constantly changing to adapt to the healthcare landscape and interests and concerns of our clinician colleagues. This discussion between the two co-leads of the Medical Information FAWG will review the Medical Information Essential Elements recently published by MAPS with contributions from PhactMI and MILE. In this discussion the NEMA chapter will have a rare opportunity to listen to the evolution of Medical Information to our current state and reflect on the many best practices reflected in the Essential Elements document.

1. Discuss how to design a robust, sustainable, and scalable Medical Information function from the Essential Elements document.
2. Discuss insights from on behind-the-scenes efforts to collaborate across MAPS, PhactMI, and MILE to create an industry-wide standardized document.
