Dr Saikiran Leekha is a Pharmaceutical Physician, currently working with Amgen as Regional Medical Director- Cardiovascular, Metabolic & Neurosciences & Head- Medical Information, for the Japan and Asia Pacific region. Dr Leekha completed his M.B.B.S & M.D from India, followed by a Masters in Pharmaceutical Medicine from Ireland. He has extensive experience in areas across Clinical drug development (Phase 2-Phase 4), medical writing, novel drug delivery systems development and pharmacovigilance. Saikiran has delivered several CME Lectures (Topics including ‘Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Markers’, Role of Pharmacoeconomics in Today’s world’, ‘Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic correlation and its impact on Clinical Practice’, ‘Advances in Lipid & Diabetes management’) across Asia Pacific, Middle-east, Russia and Latin America. His areas of interest are pharmacoeconomics and new drug development. Over the last 20 years, Dr Leekha has worked with leading Pharmaceutical companies including Menarini, Ranbaxy-Daiichi Sankyo, GlaxoSmithKline & Amgen in various senior country- and regional- leadership roles.
Amit is a qualified physician for 20 years. After initial clinical practice, worked in the pharmaceutical industry in various departments like medical affairs, marketing, clinical research and drug development. With knowledge about small molecules, biologicals, biosimilars, medical devices, and digital therapeutics across acute and chronic therapies, possess marketing and clinical-regulatory familiarity around India, Russia, China, Brazil, Africa, ASEAN countries and Latin America. Enjoy special interest in innovation, wearables, med-tech, and digital therapeutics. A team player who believes that we can achieve success in most of the complex and high value work through small steps of simplification, either in concept, design or in communication. Working as mentor and guide for healthcare start-ups focusing on early diagnosis (oncology, cardiology, and diabetes), digital therapeutics and medical devices. Susie is a member of Royal College of General Practitioners and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine in UK and a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine, a Faculty of the Royal College of Physicians, UK
1996: Received her BSc (Hons) in Clinical Pharmacology and Biochemical Toxicology from Imperial College, London
1999: Received her medical degree from Imperial College, London and subsequently worked for the UK’s National Health Service for 10 years.
2009: Started to work in industry as a Physician at Servier Laboratories
2014: Joined GSK UK as Associate Medical Director
2016: Transferred to GSK Canada, firstly as Respiratory Medical Director followed by VP and Country Medical Director in 2017
July 2018: Transferred to GSK Japan as VP and Head of Medical Japan. She holds accountability as Country Medical Director since January 2019.
Stuart Sowder, Vice President at Pfizer is currently responsible for compliance oversight for Asia, Pacific, African, and the Middle East. He is based in Tokyo. Previously, he led Pfizer’s External Medical Communications (EMC) group including several functions including Global Medical Information, Publications, Investigated Initiated Research and Medical Education and Pfizer’s Transparency functions and Field Based Medical Governance.
Stuart received a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Rutgers University and his Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2010 from Shenandoah University. He earned a JD at New York Law School. He earned a MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.  Stuart joined Pfizer in 1997 after a career in hospital pharmacy at the Veteran’s Administration in Manhattan. Since joining Pfizer, he has held positions of increasing responsibility starting in the field force, moving on to Pfizer Outcomes Research, the Regional Medical Research Specialists, External Medical Communications, and now Compliance.
