Driving Innovation Through a Novel Model of Scientific Engagement: The Hackathon Case Study

Driving Innovation Through a Novel Model of Scientific Engagement: The Hackathon Case Study

December 16, 2022 @ 10:00 AM 11:00 AM EST

Program Description:

Scientific communication and methods of engagement have changed considerably over the past few years. Medical Affairs has been at the center of driving innovation to support more personalized approaches to scientific exchange and education across stakeholder groups. However, innovation is often incremental and organizations can be slow to adopt new ways of working. A case study will be presented to illustrate an example approach to drive the exchange of new, creative ideas to address the challenges of transforming scientific communication for healthcare professionals. In this MAPS webinar, experts from Parexel, Roche, and MIT Hacking Medicine will discuss the objectives, approach and outcomes of this collaborative “Hackathon” ideation event.

Objective:

This webinar program will focus on the theme of innovation and scientific engagement in Medical Communications, providing a detailed example of how a hackathon event is a valuable approach to enhance idea generation for a defined challenge and presents the opportunity to develop innovative “out-of-the box” solutions as a primary outcome of the event.
