WHAT IS A MEDICAL AFFAIRS MASTERCLASS TRAINING PROGRAM?

Immersive, situational-based, two-day training programs focused on key competencies of Medical Affairs that MAPS deems critical for success.

A course designed for experienced Medical Affairs professionals who are responsible for, or involved in, the delivery of company-led or independent external education.

 The majority of program time (>65%) will be spent in small group interactive workshops and table discussions. Class size will be limited to 50-75 participants.

The course will explore this important topic in detail through a blend of expert-led presentations, discussion sessions, and peer-to-peer interaction, including networking.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

After participating in the External Education MasterClass program, participants should be better able to:

      • Apply principles of cognitive and learning science to elevate the execution of medical affairs strategy through external education programs  
      • Differentiate between independent and company-led external education and utilize each appropriately within medical affairs strategies across a product lifecycle and therapeutic portfolio 
      • Share best practices for execution/delivery of high quality, impactful, innovative and compliant external education programs from educational gaps identification through to outcomes measurement  
      • Implement outcomes measurement approaches to generate learnings that can be applied to enhance future external education, and other medical affairs strategic activities 
      • Leverage the trends that are accelerating changes in the environment for external education, including evolving technology and engagement channels
