Focus Area Working Groups (FAWGs)

In collaboration with our leadership teams, the Medical Affairs Professional Society (MAPS) has conceptualized the Medical Affairs function in 13 general focus areas, leading to the creation of the 13 Focus Area Working Groups (FAWGs).

Each FAWG is a committee of MAPS members with area expertise who collaborate to produce content and training resources and provide guidance and guidelines to steer the future direction of their specialty within Medical Affairs.

Chapter Leads

MAPS Region Chapters are an extension of our global membership. Our chapters provide a community members can use to expand their person network, learn from industry leaders, and participate in local events that focus on medical affairs topics. If you’re interested in becoming move engaged at a local level, we encourage you to connect with your regional chapter lead or perhaps learn how you can start a chapter in your area.

Committees

The MAPS Committees create and execute on the strategies and tactics within MAPS strategic plan. Our communities are the oversight to ensure MAPS is a growing and vital membership organization. Committees recognized by MAPS are Membership, Finance, Governance, Strategic Partnerships, and Professional Development. Additional working groups are Membership Experience and Growth, Mentorship and Career Development, Community Engagement, DEI, Industry Partnership, Partner Circle Program, MA Leadership and Competencies and L&D Organization Working Group.
