Dr. Lang is the Vice President and Head of International Medical Affairs and Oncology Clinical Development Asia-Pacific at Gilead Sciences. In this role, Zig oversees the Medical Affairs teams in countries and regions outsides of the US and Europe. He also leads the Oncology Clinical Development in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to coming to Gilead Sciences, Zig worked in Bayer’s Global Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance in the US and China. Zig has over 23 years of pharmaceutical industry experiences ranging from early and late stage clinical development to medical affairs. Zig held positions with increasing responsibilities at Bayer, Endo Pharmaceuticals, Johnson and Johnson, Wyeth and Novo Nordisk. Zig is a board-certified oncologist and hematologist in the US. He received his medical education at the Fourth Military Medical University in Xi’an and PhD in Biochemistry at Rush University in Chicago.
