Stuart Sowder, Vice President at Pfizer is currently responsible for compliance oversight for Asia, Pacific, African, and the Middle East.  He is based in Tokyo.  Previously, he led Pfizer’s External Medical Communications (EMC) group including several functions including Global Medical Information, Publications, Investigated Initiated Research and Medical Education and Pfizer’s Transparency functions and Field Based Medical Governance. Stuart received a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Rutgers University and his Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2010 from Shenandoah University.  He earned a JD at New York Law School.  He earned a MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.  Stuart joined Pfizer in 1997 after a career in hospital pharmacy at the Veteran’s Administration in Manhattan.  Since joining Pfizer, he has held positions of increasing responsibility starting in the field force, moving on to Pfizer Outcomes Research, the Regional Medical Research Specialists, External Medical Communications, and now Compliance.
