Marc Rubinstein
/in Mentorship Working Group Medical Technology/by Medical AffairsDr. Marc Rubinstein joined Werfen (Instrumentation Laboratory) in 2016 as the new Medical Director. His current role is building the relatively new medical affairs team, leading the medical affairs strategy, as well the medical science liaison team.
Prior to joining Werfen, Marc served as the Sr. Manager Global Medical Affairs at Baxter Healthcare. He specialized in KOL’s and fostering publications related to medical device products.
Prior to joining the industry, Marc spent several years in academia at the University of California, Irvine working with various medical devices and medical imaging technology where he published several peer-review journals as well as multiple book chapters.
Marc holds a Medical Doctor degree from the Universidad Anahuac, Mexico. He did his general surgery residency at the University of Southern California and Huntington Hospital in Los Angeles, California. He is currently doing his MBA at the Haslam College of Business (U Tennessee Knoxville).
Renu Juneja

Her team has the responsibility for publication plans, medical education, medical booth content, KOL engagements, MSL slide decks & training, cooperative studies and clinical trial operations in Oncology Medical affairs at JBI. Before joining Janssen, Renu was head of the Medical Communications group at MedImmune (the worldwide biologics research and development arm of AstraZeneca). Her group had the responsibility for both regulatory documents and development & execution of strategic publication plans. Her team supported all therapeutic areas including Immuno-oncology, respiratory, inflammation, CVMD, infectious diseases and vaccines.
Previously, she led the Strategic Scientific Communication (SSC) group at Novo Nordisk Inc. (NNI). She also had the opportunity to lead the Information & Education group at NNI and was responsible for the company’s library and for Independent Medical Education (IMEs) programs. Renu started her career in Novo Nordisk as a medical writer. After finishing her PhD in Reproductive Biology & Biochemistry from the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) in India, Renu joined The Population Council in NY as a Postdoctoral fellow. Two years later, she received an independent research grant from the Lalor Foundation and joined the department of Molecular Biology at the Princeton University. She has over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at various national and international conferences.
Renu has presented and conducted workshops at the annual meetings of various professional organizations e.g. ISMPP, TIPPA, CBI, and Q1 productions.
