Within biopharmaceutical and MedTech businesses, it can sometimes be difficult for the left hand to know what the right hand is doing. In part, this is due to the complex structures of these organizations, encompassing different teams, often working on different products, sometimes in different therapeutic areas, and across global, regional and local structures. This is why “knowledge transfer” is important — ensuring strategic alignment across the organization while, on a practical level, helping to disseminate solutions and best practices developed anywhere in the organization, throughout the organization.

At the MAPS 2023 Annual Meeting in Nashville, we sat down with Ruth Nicholson, Director, Global Knowledge Transfer (Neuroscience), Ipsen about the definition, challenges and emerging issues in knowledge transfer.
