Dr. Scott Flanders is currently the Vice President of Medical Affairs at Dendreon Pharmaceuticals LLC, located in Seattle, WA. Scott has worked over 24 years in the life sciences industry and Medical Affairs area.  Before joining Dendreon in 2018, Dr. Flanders was with Astellas Pharma Global Development as the U.S. lead for health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) Oncology group responsible for strategy and execution of HEOR research to include the development of real world research protocols, pharmacoeconomic models, statistical analysis, and global publications. Scott’s other professional experience includes serving as the Strategic Lead for Health Care Quality and Medical External Affairs and as National Director, Clinical Science and Outcomes Research Field Team, with Takeda Pharmaceuticals; the Associate Director, Regional Outcomes, with Ortho McNeil-Janssen (OMJ) Scientific Affairs; and Sr. Manager of Health Economics, with TAP Pharmaceutical Products Inc. Scott has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Finance) and a Master of Science degree in Health Care Administration from Trinity University, in San Antonio, TX.  After working as a licensed Nursing Home Administrator, he received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Services Research (Economic) from Saint Louis University, St. Louis, MO. Scott lives with his wife in Seattle, Washington.  He loves the listen to the Blues and play golf when the weather and time permits.
