Focus Area Working Group

The strategic mission and objectives of the Medical Affairs Professional Society (MAPS) Medical Technology Focus Area Working Group are tcreate a community that advances our role as strategic partners and promotes the growth of Medical Affairs professionals within the MedTech sector worldwide; to develop our community within MAPS to become the premier global destination of choice for MedTech MA Professionals; and to catalyze our individual personal leadership development and professional career advancement. 

ActivitiesWe will organize MedTech workshops for the MAPS annual meetings (Global, Japan, China, EMEA) as well as develop original content for eCademy Webinars/podcasts throughout the year. In addition, the working group will periodically contribute cogent and timely content on the MedTech sector for the MAPS publication, Elevate magazine. Most importantly, we will provide a supportive resource for all MedTech Medical Affairs professionals. 

Strategic Objectives

#1 Develop a foundational curriculum for MedTech MA staff:

  • Create enduring materials and content specific for MedTech
  • Partner with other FAWGs to create content

#2 For MedTech to have a bigger footprint in MAPS:

  • Increase FAWG enrollment
  • Collaborate with Country Chapters
  • Identify Executive Partner Circle members to work with our MAPS FAWG
